This page consists of Brigade Headquarters photos relative
to the immediate building's frontal exterior.
Photo by SP4 Julio Martinez, summer 1965
This picture was taken facing southwest from the parking lot adjacent to the
parade field.  It shows the additional protruding office that extends on the west
wing of the Brigade Headquarters with a courtyard on its left.  Note that this
extended building has a door while the right building on the classic picture does
not.  The round-roofed building at the extreme right requires identification.  PFC’s
Jung, Pak, and Lee pose for SP4 Martinez.
The Icon
Photo by SP4 Julio Martinez, June 1965
The First Cavalry Division Icon.  This is the icon that marked the entry to the
Brigade Headquarter offices.  It remained such until June 30, 1965.
Photo by SP4 Julio Martinez, summer 1965
The Second Infantry Division Icon.  The change on the icon took place
effective 1 July 1965.  Note the absence of the white makeshift fence surrounding
it following reflagging and the absence of the three bunkers on South Queen.
The Flags
Photos by SP4 Julio Martinez, summer 1965
This photo was taken facing due east at the base of The Flags.   The colonel's
office is at right.  The BLV Playhouse is at the left with the Officer's Club in the
distance.  Easy is at the horizon.
The Pillars
Yearbook photo presented by SP4 Jim Miller, 1969
This photo of the Brigade Headquarters sign shows new commanding
administration.
Addenda photo:  Athough this picture is not within the Brigade
Headquarters area, it faces south lacking a placement sector; it is
within a class of its own.
Photo presented by SP4 Lynn Zolnoski, 1966
This gorgeous pre-Monsoon landscape photo of South Queen was taken
facing due south.  The eves on the right extend from the BLV Playhouse.  The tiled
roof at the right rear is the latrine.  The building on the left is SP4 Zolnoski’s
commo hooch.  The brick building needs to be identified.  Note the absence of the
three bunkers on South Queen.  This photo beckons the viewer to step into it and
perhaps feel the cooling breezes of the upcoming Monsoon rains.

This is a photo of the Brigade Headquarters sign on the rock framework
located just west of the flag standards.  SP4 Ron Benson (left) and buddy take

Photo presented by SP4 Felix Castro, summer 1965
This photo of PVT Castro was taken at the base of The Flags facing due west
with the HQ Bde Offices at left, the PX at right and the NCO Club above.  Radio Hill
is at above left corner of the picture.  Notice flag pole at left which would wave
the ROK flag.
Remember that each photo justifies its own existence.
