Headquarters Company Quarters
The Headquarters Company quarters were the quonsets
where the HHC troops bunked.

This composite photo of the Headquarters Commpany troop quarters was taken
facing due east from the Battalion Headquarters building with Queen's crest
evident.  The Flags are at the left in front of the Brigade Headquarters offices.
These two rows of Quonsets billeted the HHC troops.  The Quonset at the left
behind the pole was T-1 and continued to T-7 next to the unseen latrine; then the
first Quonset on the second row began with T-8 all the way to the far T-13 at the
far end.  The Dispensary was located behind the second row and to the right of
the picture.  Significantly, T-2 and T-3 were joined by a cross-Quonset at the very
front.

This photo was taken facing due west from the eastern end of the
Headquarters Company Quonsets (the latrine's backdoor proximity) on a bright
snowy day.  The Quonsets at left are the first tier toward the rear of the camp from
the Brigade Headquarters buildings at right.  The PX is visible above the brigade
building with the warehouse behind.  The NCO Club is discernible above right with
Radio Hill being the mountaintop.  Evident is the weather damage to a utility pole
with the sun breaking through and shadowing the Quonsets.  The Flags would be
at the extreme right beyond the picture’s border.

This photo of SP4 Martinez and T-10 mascot Cecil, was taken facing east
behind the T-6 hooch.  Hooch T-7, the latrine, the bowling lane and the officers'
quarters with Easy Queen appear in the backdrop.  Cecil was brought as a puppy
to T-10 and soon after its owner DEROS'ed to the states.  Cecil missed his master
and responded when summoned by any of the GI's by joyfully wiggling his body to
and fro at his ribs as he wagged his tail.
Your photos are welcome; please feel free to present your
pictures with commentary—SP4 Julio Martinez.
