In the words of a veteran:     
    While I was there, the Boy Scouts Contingency  was actually a combination of Boy Scouts and
Cub Scouts with the larger portion being Cub scouts.  The Scouts were invited to the compound
usually about once a month for various activities, mostly in the Gym where they held their
"Pinewood Derby", "Sailing Regatta" and other activities such as the "65" Christmas Party which
were held at the NCO Club or the Dinning Hall.--

    I remember that a Boy Scout troop was quartered at the quonsets just below
Radio Hill at the southwest corner of the compound.  I remember seeing them at
the mess hall and the boys serving their scoutmaster back in 1965.--
