OLD BILL
Top of the morning fellow Troopers and Warriors,
Thanks again for tuning in to The Morning Report and making blv.dot.org part
of your day.
This is Old Bill your blv.dot.org Morning Report Clerk bringing you up-to-date
on contributions, photos, or commentaries on The Morning Report
Our Mess Hall regrets recent reports of all less than satisfactory chow served in
the division area and at the Z* The CO cordially invites all Troopers and Warriors
to drop in without hesitation and dine at the HHC Mess Hall when in the BLV; and
as an added bonus, all HHC troopers have been made aware that all DMZ guards
are to cut to the head of the line and are also exempt from the daily mile run to the
Main Gate. The Mess Hall staff has been directed to exceed all division cuisines.
And blv.dot.org salutes one last greeting to all of you short timers out there who
were living up your final hours at the E.M. Club last night (or on sweet mischief)--
you will surely be missed (like guard duty). :)

OUR BROTHERS AT WAR: "If I receive this email one thousand times, then one
thousand times I will forward it," is what the emailer sent. It is beyond blv.dot.org
to deny our heartfelt greetings that we again extend to our brother warriors and
their families since Morning Report II. The whole of the Western Corridor is
invited to extend appreciation to the Marines, the Air Force, the Navy, and the
Army at war in the Middle East--our prayers are with you. Please review our
Devotional page and welcome to the new Children of Iraq page.
GUEST BOOK Please open the Home Page and feel free to sign and view the Camp
Blue Lancer Valley Roll book.
YEARBOOKS: blv.dot.org extends appreciation to Dennis Miller whose 1964
yearbook yielded a bonanza of photos that literally opened the Company A and
Company B Sectors and overwhelmingly added to C Company. A new page, The
E.M. Club, depicts life's pleasantries; while The Motor Pool as a new page, is a little
better represented though in progress. The Battalion Hedquarters boasts a new
photo as does the PX and The Chapel. Two new photos are added to the Brigade
Headquarters. The Sentry Dog Kennels are an added feature along with their dog
handlers.
Trooper Martinez reminds all viewers that all text and photos are subject to your
corrections or additional comments. For your convenience, all new material or
addenda is in red font for the duration of this Morning Report III.
DEMILITARIZED ZONE AND IMJIN RIVER SCOUTS: blv.dot.org continues in
its commitment to assist in any way possible to inform the world and voice to our
government the medical plight and hazardous duty experienced by the DMZ-Imjin
River Scouts in Korea. Your attention is invited to the following articl Ailing
Veterananother veteran's narrative of his duty related illnesses. If you haven't
already done so, please check out the related article Lost Chapter linked to our last
Morning Report II. These are two first-hand accounts that bring to life the
heretofore unknown story of these soldiers' plight. blv.dot.org thanks Kevin P. Craver for
permission to link to the Northwest Herald. Appreciation is also extended to Jessica Cizko at The Press-Enterprize for the
Ailing Veteran article.
As we sign off this morning, special greetings are again extended to our
brothers at the Joint Security Area, the DMZ-Imjin Scouts, and patrols guarding
freedom's frontier on the Z. Your fellow brothers recognize your dedication to
duty especially under today's weather conditions. And to all of you out there in
the guard towers, on the Imjin, at the field, in convoy, anywhere in the division
area, or cruising the (aah) village, thank you for logging-on to your website and
The Morning Report.
For those just signing-in on the duty roster or submitting material, stand at
rest. Please bear patiently as your admin clerk, Trooper Martinez, returns to the
orderly room. He has been ordered by the C.O. to review, post, and report to you
immediately upon his return from the PX where he caught loitering by Top.
Until your next Morning Report, this is Old Bill reminding you to check the
duty roster for possible detail and remember, Semper Paratus and Rock of the
Marne.
For the Commander,
OLD BILL
