THE MORNING REPORT
Top of the morning fellow Troopers and Warriors,
Thanks again for tuning in to The Morning Report and for making
blv.dot.org part of your day.  We hope you enjoyed your breakfast of good old
scrambled eggs and bacon after reveille this morning here at the BLV; and after
the daily run from HHC to the main gate and back--to the mess hall--makes for
good training.  And here's a greeting to all of you who just turned in from the
guard house to quarters after a good night's wake at fence walks or towers or
perhaps after a night of sound rest (or of sweet mischief).
This is Old Bill your blv.dot.org Morning Report Clerk bringing you up-to-date
on contributions, photos, or commentaries on The Morning Report.
As we sign off this morning, special greetings are again extended to our
brothers at the Joint Security Area, the DMZ-Imjin Scouts, and patrols
guarding freedom's frontier on the Z.  Your fellow brothers recognize your
dedication to duty especially under today's
weather conditions.  And to all of
you out there in the guard towers, on the Imjin, at the field, in convoy,
anywhere in the division area, or cruising the (aah) village, thank you for
logging-on to your website and The Morning Report.
For those just signing-in on the duty roster or submitting material, stand at
rest.  Please bear patiently as your admin clerk, Trooper Martinez, returns to the
orderly room.  He has been ordered by the C.O. to review, post, and report to
you immediately upon his return from the PX, chow, or perhaps the latrine.

Until your next Morning Report, this is Old Bill reminding you to check the
duty roster for possible detail and remember,
Semper Paratus and Rock of the
Marne
.
WA. D.C. Reunion:  The CO has ordered Trooper Martinez to extend the
gratitude of blv.dot.org to Brother Mark Hartford for the honor of posing the
dignitaries following the honors of
Taps and Amazing Grace at the Korea War
Memorial the morning of the ceremony.  Those photos at the flag staff and
memorial background would not have been possible without Mark's directive.
Another word of thanks is extended to Brother Ruben Apodaca Jr., Army
photographer and Iraq veteran, who snapped added photos of veterans and
dignitaries at the memorial and at the dinner.
A note of appreciation and gratitude to the unidentified bagpiper, a visitor, who
mentioned that his participation was the least he could do at DC on this special
day.  If you haven't already done so, you are invited to please join us in the
observation of respect to our fallen brothers by viewing the American Heroes
page.

DEMILTARIZED ZONE AND IMJIN RIVER SCOUTS:  blv.dot.org is
committed to assist in any way possible to inform the world and voice to our
government the medical plight and hazardous duty experienced by the
DMZ-Imjin River Scouts in Korea.  Your attention is invited to the following
article Lost Chapter that promotes the continued endeavor to make the story
known of these soldiers.
blv.dot.org thanks Kevin P. Craver for permission to link to the Northwest Herald.

YEARBOOKS:  blv.dot.org has opened a whole new page on yearbooks and
salutes SP4's Dennis Alt and Jim Miller for providing their 1964 and 1969
yearbooks respectively.  You are welcome to click on years and view--enjoy :)

Pierson has identified Quonset I in the HHC area.

OUR BROTHERS AT WAR:  Our heartfelt greetings are again extended to our
brother warriors and their families since our last Morning Report.  We can
never show enough appreciation to the Marines, the Air Force, the Navy, and
the Army at war in the Middle East--our prayers are with you.  Please view our
Devotional page and scroll down for additional photos and well-wishes.
